Trucker contacts authorities after Uxbridge fatal accident

A resident of a group home for mentally challenged individuals was killed in an alleged hit-and-run accident on Balm of Life Spring Road Sunday evening. Authorities say that the 55-year-old man was killed as he walked along the road around 7:45 p.m. The driver of the vehicle that struck and killed the pedestrian did not remain at the scene after the fatal pedestrian accident. Authorities say that there is no sidewalk along the road where the tragic event occurred.

Stop-sign violation implicated in fatal Milford ambulance crash

The overall concept of distracted driving seems to garner a great number of national headlines these days. Incidents involving distracted driving can occur anywhere on the road. Several injured in multi-vehicle wreck on Massachusetts Turnpike

A single-vehicle accident early Monday on the Massachusetts Turnpike led to a chain of events that left several people with serious injuries. Authorities say that a 26-year-old Brookline, Massachusetts, man lost control of his pickup, which rolled over after crashing into the median around 4:30 in the morning. He and a passenger in the pickup crawled out of the wreckage.

Pedestrian killed in Meridian Street drawbridge accident

The Public Works Department in Boston says that the drawbridge operator who was at the controls when a pedestrian was killed last week has been a city employee for 34-years. Many Worcester area readers may have heard reports about the tragic drawbridge accident. An East Boston woman was on the Meridian Street drawbridge last Tuesday when the operator raised the bridge to allow a boat to pass.

Worker killed in Logan airport tarmac accident

Officials are still trying to learn more about what caused a fatal accident on the tarmac at Logan International Airport on Monday evening. A 59-year-old Melrose, Massachusetts, man was on the tarmac guiding a lavatory waste truck toward an airplane when something went terribly wrong. The truck, which is essentially a Ford F-350 that has been modified for airport use, was backing up toward a 737 at Logan when the truck struck the worker who was guiding the truck.
